<p>A double-hose stethoscope with a chest-piece (10) with a larger-diameter head-set (22), designed with two listening chambers (23, 24) and with a smaller-diameter head-set (13), designed with only one listening chamber (16). Both head-sets (13, 22) are firmly connected to one another by a connection piece (21) around which is arranged a switch-over element (37) to which the double hose (11, 12) is connected leading to the V-junction of the head-set. The switch-over element (37) comprises connection channels (46-49), and these are connected, depending on the switching position of the switch-over element (37) either jointly with the single-chamber head-set (13) or each with a specific listening chamber (23 or 24) of the double-chamber head-set (22), so that each listening chamber of this head-set is connected only with one hose (11 or 12) of the double hose. The doctor thus receives, with the double-chamber head-set (22) a certain stereophonic hearing effect and can better locate the source of the sound.</p> |
