The patent application relates to a refuse collection and transporting system using refuse containers and refuse vehicles for the separate acceptance of different types of wastes. According to the invention, provision is made for the refuse containers to have five individual containers arranged in series, for some of the individual containers to extend over the entire height of the refuse containers and one or more individual containers to extend over only part of the height of the refuse containers, for a further container to be provided underneath the shorter individual containers and for correspondingly designed domestic refuse containers located in households to be assigned to the refuse containers. The essential advantage achieved is that, starting from the households via a refuse container and the refuse vehicles, collection and removal of the various types of refuse can be achieved which are optimum in accordance with the current state of the art.
