PURPOSE:To prevent a melted material from leaking or burning and make it easy to adjust deviation of thickness finely, by securing an approximately cylindrical die at the base section to a head main body of an extruder in a cantilever fashion. CONSTITUTION:A die 2 is approximately cylindrical, a base end 2a having a flange, a thin intermediate section 2b and a thick forward end 2c are integrally formed, the base end 2a is attached to a head main body 1 by threading bolts 6 in a cantilever fashion. A mandrel 3 is supported to a spider 4 by screws to be positioned axially of the die 2, four adjusting bolts 8 are radially arranged, and are threaded from the outer circumference of an outer cylinder 7 attached to the head main body 1, and the tips of the bolts 8 are abutted against the outer circumferential surface of the forward end 2c. If the wall thickness of a tube (T) extruded from the die 2 is deviated, the fastening of the adjusting bolts 8 is adjusted to deflect the forward end 2c of the die to deviate circumferentially for the base end 2a, and therefore the relative phase of the outlet of the die and t mandrel 3 is displaced and adjusted to correct the state of the deviation of the wall thickness of the tube. |
