Elastic tentering mat for a hide tentering apparatus, said mat comprising at least two rubber layers (1, 2) attached to each other by vulcanization (hot or cold vulcanization). Since a hide to be tentered resists vigorously elongation of mats, the marginal sections of a mat beyond the hide are forced to stretch to a disproportionate extent, whereby the rip-off hazard of marginal sections will be more eminent. In order to prevent this, between rubber layers (1, 2) there are fitted crimped or otherwise winding fibres (3) for preventing elongation of the tentering mat beyond a certain stretch. |
