The invention relates to a rotation damper for sliding doors, revolving doors or the like, which is designed as a magnetic damper 1. Provided for this purpose is an electromagnet 2 which is mounted so as to be axially movable, but fixed in terms of rotation, on a shaft 6 fastened in a bearing plate 13. Furthermore, an armature plate 3 with a hub 4 is mounted rotatably, but axially fixedly, on the shaft 6. A pinion 7 connected to the door drive is seated on the hub 4 via a free-wheel 8. The electromagnet 2 is supplied with current in a pulsating manner by a control unit 12 and, when cut in, is attracted to the armature plate 3, thereby braking the rotational movement of the latter. The pulsating braking of the armature plate 3 is then manifested in a damping of the closing movement of the door. <IMAGE> |
