The invention is based on a solid rubber tyre which has a tyre bead of tough composition and a section of reduced hardness on the inner circumference, and is pumped between two wheel or rim components. In order to be able to compensate tolerance differences between the external diameter of the rim and the internal diameter of the tyre, the section of lesser hardness contains a trapezoidal cross-section, the legs of the trapezoid being of equal length and the longer base line of the trapezoid facing the rim body.
