In the case of a device for producing an electrically conductive contact to an insulated cable core, it is intended to create a solution by means of which, in the case of a device of the type indicated initially, it is achieved that the contact with the relevant cores is produced reliably and without problems, that the possibility is created for testing the contacting, and that, on the other hand, all the cores which essentially arise in the preferred field of use in telecommunications technology are made contact with irrespective of the type of insulation of the cables used, it being intended that the contacting be carried out such that damage to the insulating sheath is essentially prevented or is so slight that, after removal of the connection, a short-circuit between adjacent cable cores is reliably prevented. This is achieved in that it is equipped with a holder (7) for the cable core (21) with which contact is to be made and with an electrically conductive perforation needle (15) for penetrating the insulating sheath of the core (21). <IMAGE>
