PURPOSE:To prevent a noise due to continuous rotation of a flywheel when use of a vehicle is stopped, by braking a deceleration energy collecting flywheel to be stopped when an ignition switch of an engine is operated to be turned off in accordance with a stop in use of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 is stopped, normally an engine clutch 3 is placed in a connection condition by operating a clutch pedal to be returned, connecting the engine 1 with an input shaft 5 of a transmission 4. As a result, a flywheel 7 comes to be connected with the engine 1 through a variable speed transmission means 18 by turning off an ignition switch 27, and an automobile, consuming energy accumulated in the flywheel 7 to be used as the driving energy of the engine 1, damps rotation of the flywheel 7 to finally stop it. In this way, the automobile, after operating in order to stop its use the ignition switch 27 to be turned off, eliminates rotation of inertia of the flywheel 7 enabling its noise and/or feeling of physical disorder to be prevented from being generated.
