PURPOSE:To enable the tip ends of two pieces of transfer paper which are fed through different paths, to match each other by shifting the feed timing of each of feeding devices depending on both the length of the feeding path from each of the feeding devices to a junction point and respective feeding speed. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of transfer paper from trays are allowed to join at a register roller 37, and the feed timing of each of feeding devices is shifted so as to allow the tip ends of them to be aligned at the register roller 37. That is, both the feeding device of No.3 tray 42 and the feeding device of No.1 tray 33 or No.2 tray 34, are allowed to effect a parallel feed operation. In addition, it may be also considered that the rotation of the transfer roller 69 is allowed to be well timed with the alignment of the both tip ends, in this case the register roller 37 functions as an ordinary transfer roller. While on the contrary, when the parallel feeding is accomplished only by use of the tray 42, two paper feeding rollers 36d and 68 are operated at the same timing allowing the registration to be effected again by the register roller 37. This configuration enables the tip ends of numbers of transfer paper to match each other.
