PURPOSE:To enable to remove remaining papers easily, by detecting an abnormal feeding condition of papers and their remaining positions after a complete stop of the system, and displaying them in the illustration of the delivery route and the like, in an automatic bill register, etc. CONSTITUTION:At adequate positions in an insert and reception member 1, sorting and feeding member 2, primary storages 3 and 4, take-in box 5, a bill detector 6, and a paper passage 8 through assortment safes 10-13, are arranged paper detecting sensors S1-S19. In the movement of the system, if a sensor in the upper stream acts properly and the sensor at the immediately lower stream does not detect the paper in a given time, an abnormality is displayed to stop a carrier motor 20. After the system is stopped completely, the disturbance of the bill feeding is displayed in a code, as well as the display is lighted to show the abnormal positions and the remaining paper positions depending on the signals from the sensors S1-S19. Thus, detecting and removing works of papers can be carried out easily.
