Method and apparatus for space temperature regulation.

The method is for regulating the temperatures in rooms which contain heating or cooling devices having thermostat valves. The heating or cooling devices are fed from a central heat or cold source. The difference affected by the thermostat valves in the feed and return temperatures is determined in the entire mass flow and the heat and cold source is controlled accordingly. A setpoint band is applied for the difference in the feed and return temperatures and the permissible temperature difference values must lie within it. The total setpoint band with the upper and lower limits can be moved in accordance with the requirements and the current actual value can be regulated in the direction of the setpoint value in ranges outside the setpoint band.
