<p>A steel spike 301 is integral with a threaded male connector 302 and a flange which is embedded in a synthetic plastics disc 303, the flange and the disc having four equi-spaced holes for engagement by a two-pronged key. The male connector 302 can thereby be screwed into a female receptacle 101 which projects from the concave side of a dished plate 103. The plate 103 has perforations 106 capped by stoppers 102 and is thereby locked in position when embedded in an injection-mould plate for attachment to the sole or heel of the shoe.</p> |
