PURPOSE:To enable fetching of the power of a generator without needing an expensive slip ring, by a method wherein a generator, to which the rotary shaft of a rotor is transmitted, is secured to the side of a strut erected vertically, and the rotary shaft of the generator is transmitted through a transmission means. CONSTITUTION:A nacelle 3 is rotatably supported to the upper end of a strut 1 erected vertically by means of plural tension wires 2, and a rotor 5 is mounted to the end of a rotary shaft 4 pivotally supported to the nacelle 3. A generator 9 is driven by the rotation force of the rotary shaft 4 produced through rotation of the rotor 5. In which case, the generator 9 is mounted in a yoke case 8 secured to the upper end of the strut 1. Rotation of the rotary shaft 4 is increased in a speed by means of gears 13 and 14, and after rotation is changed in a direction with the aid of bevel gears 16 and 17, it is transmitted to a transmission shaft 18, and is further transmitted to the generator 9 through a coupling 20. Further, a manual brake 21 formed with a brake disc 21a and a caliper 21b is attached to the transmission shaft 18. |
