PURPOSE:To obtain a workpiece having the fine roughness of the worked surface by electrically insulating the workpiece from the working machine body, thus reducing the floating capacity between a wire electrode and the workpiece to zero. CONSTITUTION:An insulating jig 15 made of electric insulating material is fixed onto a surface plate 4 by a screw, etc. A workpiece 13 having a penetration hole whose diameter and span are allowed to accord with the respectives of the installation screw part formed onto the insulating jig 15 is loaded onto the insulating jig 15. A working power source 11 and the surface plate 4, namely the working machine body are electrically insulated by connecting the feeder line 14b of the working power source 11 and the workpiece 13. Since said workpiece 13 is electrically insulated from the working machine body 1, each of the floating capacity of the working machine 1 itself and the floating capacity between the wire electrode 5 and the working machine body becomes zero, and the energy due to the electric discharge of a condenser in electric-discharge machining can be suppressed. |
