PURPOSE:To prevent the color of a yellow toner image from being cloudy and to obtain a colorful multicolor image by providing a developing device, where a yellow toner is stored, apart from the other adjacent developing devices. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 4A where the yellow toner is stored is provided apart from a succeeding developing device, for example, a developing device 4B where a magenta toner is stored. Developing devices are so arranged that d1>d2=d3 is true where d1 is the gap between developing devices 4A and 4B and d2 is the gap between the developing device 4B and a developing device 4C where, for example, a cyan toner is stored and d3 is the gap between the developing device 4C and a developing device 4D where, for example, a black toner is stored. Thus, the yellow toner in the developing device 4A is prevented from being mixed or polluted with toners of different colors from succeeding developing devices. |
