PURPOSE:To obtain a good pickup screen by a method, in which a layer mainly composed of Se and As, a layer of Se, As and Te, an Se layer having high density of As and an Se layer having low density of As are piled in order from the photoincident side while the integrated As amount of the third layer is made to be in the range of the density multipled by film thickness, that is 150-500wt%. CONSTITUTION:A layer I consisting of Se and As, a layer II containing Te, a layer III containing As of high density and a layer IV containing As of low density like the layer II but not containing Te while consisting of Se and As, which occupy the greater part of the whole film thickness, are piled in order from the photoincident side while the integrated As amount of the layer III is selected in the range of film thickness multipled by density being equal to 150-500wt%, then As properly suppresses deterioration in the red photosensitiveness thus making it possible to prevent a burning phenomenon, in which a remaining image does not disappear, when a subject having a clear contrast is picked up. By means of a pickup tube using a target according to said constitution, burning is practically unrecognizable thus making it possible to obtain a good screen.
