PURPOSE:To enable the feed capability to be augmented accompanied with the employment of a simple structure so as to reduced the cost involved by arranging No.2 feed cassette underneath an intermediate tray so as to allow both existing rollers and paths to serve concurrently to No.2 feed cassette. CONSTITUTION:An opening is formed so that an auxiliary feed roller 17 for an intermediate tray may come in contact with a piece of transfer paper in a cassette 26 while rolling when No.2 feed cassette 26 comes close to the bottom of the intermediate tray 15. The auxiliary roller serves concurrently as a roller to take out a piece of transfer paper in No.2 feed cassette with help of a feed roller 16. A path 18 on the forward side of the intermediate tray 16 also serves concurrently as the path, through which the transfer paper is forwarded to register rollers 6 and 7. Thus, as both the existing feed rollers and the paths serve concurrently, a simpler structure may be employed allowing the cost involved to be reduced, and furthermore, the feed cassette can be increased in number so as to augment the feed capability. |
