PURPOSE:To obtain the metallic gasket, high in seal effect, by a method wherein a metallic material sheet, bonded with a seal material, is plasticized and the metallic material sheet and the seal material, which are formed with the parts of bead, are processed under heating. CONSTITUTION:Adhesive is coated on both sides of the elastic metallic material sheet 21, to be used as a base sheet 13, by an adhesive supplying device 23. Next, the seal materials 14 are bonded to both sides of the elastic metallic material sheet 21, coated with the adhesive. Subsequently, the elastic metallic material sheet 21, bonded with the seal material 14, is worked by a press machine 25 under being plasticized to form a cylinder hole 11 and beads 15. Even when the connection between the elastic soft material, constituting the seal material 14, and an auxiliary material is teared off upon working under plasticized condition, the elastic soft material is crosslinked by the heating process after the work under plasticized condition and a strongly connected condition between the elastic soft material and the auxiliary material may be obtained whereby the metallic gasket, high in seal effect, may be formed stably. |
