PURPOSE:To measure the extent of the position shift of an object by using a motor to which an encoder for driving a lens is connected when the lens is put in focus on the object by an autofocus mechanism, and counting pulses in the movement of the lens and calculating the distance to the object. CONSTITUTION:The television camera which has the encoder 15 connected directly to the motor 14 of an autofocus control part 13 is used to correct the position shift between the object 1 and television camera 2 automatically. The television camera is moved firstly to detect extents of position shifts of three points on a cathode-ray tube as the object, thereby making automatic correction. When the shift extent between the object 1 and camera is corrected automatically, the autofocus control part 13 is triggered from an image processor 6 to output pulses corresponding to the shift extent from the encoder 15 coupled directly with the lens driving motor 14, so pulses at each detection point is converted by the image processor 6 into coordinate axis correction data on a robot an the data is transferred to a robot controller 5 to complete the correction. |
