The invention relates to the sealing of a rolling bearing with a filling of lubricating grease, which is suitable particularly for special high-speed bearings in fine-spinning machines. The seal according to the invention achieves a greater effectiveness of the lubrication and tightness of the bearing. According to the invention, there is mounted in the outer ring of the bearing, in a groove formed between the cover disc and the outer race, a rubber ring, on which bears a sealing insert with a recess for receiving the lubricant. Furthermore, a further groove is formed in the outer ring of the bearing between the outer races and is covered completely or partially by a member made of porous material. <IMAGE>
