Adiabatic bricks are manufd. of tridymite, clay and diatomaceous earth, of which tridymite is processed of sintered husks and chaffs. The adiabatic bricks comprise tridymite 56-65 wt.%, clay 5-10 wt.%, diatomaceous earth 10-20 wt.%, diatomaceous earth 10-20 wt.%, and a bonding agent contg. alum earth and molasses, of which diatomaceous earth is sintered at 1200≦̸C. The mixt. is molded under pressure of 110Kg and heated to 300≦̸C for 20 hrs. It is sinthered at 1300≦̸C. The product has light wieght with good adiabatic effect.
