PURPOSE:To store a cylindrical sheet systematically, by folding to store the cylindrical sheet in a pleat, in the circular round grooves formed between ring form plates which are laminated and connected in order through a spacer, in a shield excavator. CONSTITUTION:In a folding and storing device for cylindrical sheet 9 installed at the rear end of a shield excavator, a number of elastic ring plates 1 are laminated through a spacer 4 of an adequate thickness, connected by long size bolts 6 inserted to connect them, and between the neighboring elastic ring plates 1 are formed narrow gapped circular round grooves 8 in which the cylindrical sheet 9 is folded and stored in a pleat. The cylindrical sheet is folded in a pleat toward the inside, in an each given length, and the portions folded 10 are stored one by one in the circular round grooves 8 bending the round ring plates 1. When the excavation advances with the sheets in this condition, the cylindrical sheets 9 are drawn out backward systematically from the rearmost ring plate 1 bending the ring plate by the drawing forth.
