PURPOSE:To obtain a microcapsule support requiring no stilt material, by providing a layer containing a microcapsule and a special film forming composition as essential components. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a microcapsule support comprising a sheet, a layer is formed by a method wherein an aqueous coating solution, which contains (a) a microcapsule prepared by using a synthetic resin as a film material and (b) a film forming composition characterized in that at least one water- soluble monomer B is polymerized in the presence of high-molecular latex A with a glass transition point is 60 deg.C or less in a solid wt. ratio A:B of 3:97-90:10, is applied to a support. In pressure-sensitive recording paper, a layer is formed by such a method wherein 2-70pts.wt. of the film forming composition is mixed with 100pts.wt. of the microcapsule and the resulting mixture is mixed with a slight amount of a binder to prepare a coating solution with solid content of 10-70wt% which is, in turn, applied to the support by an air knife coater or blade coating system. |
