PURPOSE:To abbreviate a grand-scaled mechanism with high accuracy for send ing out a transmitting original and a recording form and to attain the miniaturi zation of a device by scanning/recording the surface of the transmitting original or the recording form by a movable part in which a picture input device and a picture output device are incorporated in one. CONSTITUTION:After a transmitting original 21 is irradiated by a LED array 25 which is operated manually to move the surface of the original, when the original is read, and a reflecting light from the above mentioned transmitting original 21 is condensed by a rod lens array 26, a video signal is converted to an electric signal by an image sensor 27. This video signal is sent out by a communication control device 18 after a process by a signal processing device 19 and a temporary storage by a memory unit 17. When recording, a receiving signal is stored temporally at the memory unit 17 and a picture signal is reproduced by the signal processing device 19 and after that, same as in the reading, the receiving signal while it is operated to move on a thermosensible paper is transferred to a thermal head that is pressured on the thermosensible paper and is recorded.
