PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of ejecting a cartridge by mounting an operation part or key opposite to a spindle in reference to the cartridge retained. CONSTITUTION:An operation button 16 is fixed to a slide 13 and a spindle for rotating a magnetic disk in a cartridge is mounted on a base. In order to eject a cartridge 1 from the unit, the operation key 16 is pushed in the direction of the arrow B from a state of Figure b so as to move the slide 13 in the same direction. With this movement, a cam 13a slides a pin 12 along a long hole 14a (Figure c) and a holder 11 and the cartridge 1 move parallel so as to separate from the base 19. When the holder 11 returns to the position of Figure a, the cartridge 1 is moved in the opposite direction to the arrow A by an ejecting means, the holder 11 is stopped against an outside plate 14 by a lock lever so as to be retained in the state of Figure 1 and the ejecting action is completed.
