PURPOSE:To obtain the titled high-purity compound containing no oil, useful as a drug, in high yield, by acetylating de-fatted crude phosphatide before it is purified by chromatography using a porous resin, so that impurities are easily separated. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, crude phosphatide is treated with acetone and an alcohol, the prepared de-fatted crude phosphatide, for example, is treated with an acetylating agent such as acetic anhydride, etc. in the presence of a small amount of triethylamine, and acetylated. Then, the prepared reaction product is purified by chromatography using a porous resin (e.g., styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, etc.). The chromatography is preferably carried out by dissolving the reaction product in a hydrous organic solvent such as methanol, etc., passing the solution through a column filled with the porous resin, and developing and eluting with the same solvent.
