PURPOSE:To obtain smooth clutch operational feeling in various running conditions, by controlling engagement and disengagement of the clutch in dependence upon an engine rotational speed, and compensating such control according to functions of an opening angle of a throttle valve and an input rotational speed of a transmission. CONSTITUTION:An opening angle sensor 1b is added to a throttle valve 1 whose opening angle is adjusted in concert with depression of an accelerator pedal. An output from the sensor 1b is applied to a second function table 11c in a storage section 11 in an electronic control device C. Further, an output from a rotational speed sensor 2b added to an engine 2 is applied to a first function table 11b. Further, an input rotational speed sensor 4b for detecting an input rotational speed of a transmission 4 is added to the transmission 4, and an output from the transmission 4 is applied to a third function table 11d and a control section 10. Independent target transfer torques f1-f3 are read from the first to third function table 11b-11d, and these torques are added in a first operating section 12 to obtain a target transfer torque, thus controlling a clutch 3 according to the target transfer torque.
