PURPOSE:To enable a PG yoke sensor to fetch a precise initial signal and to prevent it from damage by so setting the PG yoke sensor as to be recessed while a cassette holder is up and be separated at the detecting point while the cassette holde is down. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 1 is inserted and a cassette holder 10 is pushed downward in such a state that the holder 10 and a supposting arm 11 are in the upper position and the lower side of a stabilizing part 27 is positioned higher than the upper plate of the cassette holder 10, the supporting arm 11 also moves to the lower position. In this state, the stabilizing part 27 contacts a magnetic disk 3. Hence, with the magnetic disk 3 held between the stabilizing part 27 and a magnetic head 34, the magnetic head 34 is moved in the direction of the radius of the magnetic disk, bending the magnetic disk by a groove 27a of the stabilizing part 27 set along the radius, so as to make a write/read action. A PC yoke sensor is positioned near the locus of PG yoke 6's rotation in reference to the rotating magnetic disk 3, so that the PG yoke sensor 21 can fetch an initial signal in the rotating direction precisely.
