PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of a strainer by simplifying the structure thereof, by gathering slag to one area without circulating the same within a net and allowing only a fluid, from which slag was removed, to flow out from a porous side wall to an outflow port. CONSTITUTION:A fluid having slag mixed therein enters the net 3 communicated with the one opening end of the inflow port 2a of a strainer main body 1 from said inflow port 2a to remove slag and flowed out from the outflow port 2b communicated with the porous side wall of the net 3. The slag is impinged to the inner wall of the net 3 and subsequently enters the slag receiving body 5, which was provided so as to be protruded into the net 3 at the other end opening part of the net 3, from the slag take-in port 6 of said slag receiving body 5 to be gathered to one place. Therefore, only the fluid, from which the slag was removed, is flowed out to the aforementioned outflow port 2b from the aforementioned porous side wall and a lid body 4 is prevented from the destruction and formation of a hole due to slag because slag is not circulated in the net 3 and this strainer can be also used in longitudinal piping and also has a simple structure.
