发明名称 PRODUCTION OF MAGNETIC HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which has no void at all on its junction face and high strength with high reliability by welding together the magnetic heads containing a nonmagnetic ceramic member and a magnetic ferrite member respectively after polishing the expected junction faces of both members up to mirror surfaces together with a heat treatment and forming the mutual diffusion layers by the direct fixed phase reactions of both members. CONSTITUTION:The expected junction faces of a nonmagnetic ceramic member and an Mn-Zn ferrite member are polished up to mirror surfaces and undergo a heat process with a contact secured between both members. Here it is required to finish both mirror surfaces as completely as possible in order to facilitate easy reaction (diffusion) with each other. If the head treatment temperature is low, the fixed phase reactions of both members are obtained just in a limited area. This reduces the intensity of junction. While no linear junction layer is not obtained together with generation of voids although the junction intensity is high satisfactorily. Thus the heat treatment temperatures are set preferably within a range of 850-1,300 deg.C. The junction intensity is reduced if the thickness of the diffusion layers of both members is too small. However the voids are easily produced with the excessively large thickness of those diffusion layers. Thus the thickness of the diffusion layers are preferably set in a range of 5mum-650mu.
