<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently treat raw water, by forming pellet like particles by adding a water-soluble polymer flocculant to a suspension of bacteria and charging the same in a biological treatment tank of raw water to be treated. CONSTITUTION:A polymer flocculant 3 (a cationic polymer, an anionic polymer) is added to activated sludge 2 subjected to mass culture and the resulting mixture is supplied to a submerged granulation tank 4 to form pellet like immobilized bacteria which are, in turn, charged in the aeration tank 6 of biological treatment facilities and raw water 1 to be subjected to biological treatment is treated through the contact with said immobilized bacteria 5 to be discharged as biologically treated water.</p> |
