<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a low dew point while reducing running cost, by combining a desiccant and a freezer. CONSTITUTION:High temp. and high humidity compressed gas from an inflow pot is cooled by the low temp. cooling medium from an expansion valve 15 in a cooler 16 while the cooled gas is sent to a desiccant cylinder A through a drain separator 20 and a change-over valve 3 to form a low dew point compressed gas which is, in turn, heated by the high temp. cooling medium of a cooling medium circuit in a re- heater 14 to be flowed out from an outflow port 2. A part of the compressed gas issued from the desiccant cylinder A is passed through an orifice plate 9 to be reduced in pressure and sent to a desiccant cylinder B to regenerate the desiccant having adsorbed moisture in the previous process before exhausted from a sound arrestor 10. The high temp. cooling medium gas emitted from a freezing compressor 11 is passed through the heating pipe 12 of the desiccant cylinder B to heat the desiccant of said cylinder B. Next, a change-over valve 9 is closed and a change-over valve 17 is opened to perform the cooling of the desiccant cylinder B. After the cooling process was finished, the desiccant towers A, B are changed over and the compressed gas is dehumidified in the desiccant cylinder B and the desiccant cylinder A is regenerated.</p> |
