PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of the total amount of calcium bonded to a protein, by arranging a polymer having a sulfonate group to be contained in a porous developed layer. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to an integrated type multilayer analysis element in which a non-liquid permeable and light transmitting support made of a polymer such as polyethylene telephthalate, a reaction layer containing at least one kind of calcium ion detection reagent and a porous developed layer are laminated. A polymer having a sulfonate group is contained in the porous developed layer. The amount of the polymer having the sulfonate group is preferably about 1-5g/m<2>. Then, the sulfonate group is so high in the affinity to calcium to have the action of bonding calcium to and separating it from protein. Thus, the use of the resulting analysis element enables the measurement of the total calcium bonded to the protein. |
