摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain cis-isomer or trans-isomer of an unsaturated organic compound such as oleifinic hydrocarbon, unsaturated fatty acid, etc., at a definite yield, by carrying out the cis-trans isomerization reaction of the unsaturated organic compound under photo-irradiation in the presenc of an inorganic semiconductor or a polymeric semiconductor as a photo-catalyst. CONSTITUTION:An unsaturated organic compound having cis- and trans-isomers caused by the double bond is subjected to cis-trans isomerization reaction under photoirradiation in an atmosphere of preferably argon, nitrogen, etc., in the presence of a photo-catalyst consisting of a semiconductor selected from an inorganic semiconductor (e.g. cadmium sulfide, zinc sulfide, etc.) and a polymeric semiconductor (e.g. poly-p-phenylene, polynaphthalene, etc.). The cisisomer to trans-isomer of the raw material can be produced at a definite yield. EFFECT:The produce can be separated easily, effectively, in high purity.
