摘要 |
PURPOSE:The explosive composition formed by the oxygen-containing unreacted ethylene exhausted from the reactor producing dichloroethane at a high temperature is diluted with dichloroethane vapor to obtain a safe gas composition, which is supplied to the second reactor to recover ethylene. CONSTITUTION:A liquid reaction medium composed mainly of dichloroethane is charged to the first reactor A, and ethylene and chlorine supplied to the reactor A are made to react with each other at a temperature above the boiling point under normal pressure (at >=83 deg.C) in the presence of a small amount of oxygen to obtain dichloroethane (preferably 0.05-1.0mol of the supplied reaction medium vapor based on 1mol of the chlorine is maintained in non- condensed state). The explosive composition composed of ethylene and oxygen exhausted in unreacted state from the first reactor is diluted with dichloroethane vapor to obtain a gas having safe composition, which is supplied to the second reactor C. (Preferably >=30% of the non-condensed gas discharged from the first reactor is dichloroethane).
