PURPOSE:To make the digital IC application of an electromagnetic conversion system till the data detection including a waveform equalization circuit and facilitate the miniaturization of an equipment, by data detecting the quantified reproduction data only with digital signal processing. CONSTITUTION:The portion of a piece of reproduced data is stored in a first register circuit 10 of the data detection device, and the sampling of the reproduced data in the data detection point at the point of time is performed by the digital operation from two reproduced data that continue in a sampling point phase detection circuit 11. Further, in a zero cross detection circuit 12, the zero cross point of the reproduced data is detected, and a switch 22 is controlled by the output of the circuit 12. Moreover, the sampling timing phase input in a compensation circuit 13 is compensated in the phase variation direction, in a second register circuit 14, the sampling point phase value other than the time of zero cross detection goes round, and the output of a circuit 13 is added to a digital filter circuit 15. Then, these circuits and a data detection circuit 21 are controlled by a clock generator 20 and a data detection phase control circuit 19.
