READ CIRCUIT OF BINARY SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To read stably and correctly a signal by expanding/compressing the period of a strobe signal in response to the phase relation between an external signal and the strobe signal or retarding the external signal by latching. CONSTITUTION:An external bit serial binary signal BS is given to a latch circuit 1 and an edge detection circuit 2 detecting its leading and trailing. The circuit 1 is latched by a latch pulse LP generated when a presettable down counter 3 is zero and the latched signal is fed for reading as a delayed external signal LES delayed by a time from the input to the latch. A data converting circuit 8 converts the inputted 4-bit data into a '1' or '0' binary data signifying the direction retarding or advancing the strobe signal and the result is given to a data terminal D of the latch circuit 5 and a Q output of the circuit 5 is given to a data terminal D of the latch circuit 6. Then the Q output of the circuit 6 is given to a timing pulse generator 10 as a companding mode signal E/S.
