PURPOSE:To make a contact long in service life by providing a control circuit which uses an electromagnetic relay as a control element of the AC power source and connects a load near the zero phase of an AC power source by the contact of the relay. CONSTITUTION:When an input voltage E is zero, since no voltage is applied to an electromagnetic relay X in a hybrid relay H and a closing timing control circuit A, the relay X is inactivated, its contact XS is opened and no current flows to a load L. When the input voltage E is applied, the control circuit A is operated. Thus, the control circuit A controls the relay X to close the contact XS near the zero phase of the AC power V. Through the control above, the service life of the contact XS is extended.
