PURPOSE:To obtain the titled product with high wear, scratch and acid resistance and rust-proofness, by subjecting a specific monomer compound gas to plasma polymerization to form whereon plasma-polymerized film under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:The objective product can be obtained by subjecting a gas containing a monomer compound derived from (A) halogenated alkane, (B) alkane, (C) hydrogen and/or (D) halogen with a ratio of atom number halogen/ hydrogen of 0.1-5 to plasma polymerization to form plasma-polymerized film >=5,000Angstrom thick on the surface of a metallic product consisting of a metal with a Vickers hardness >=600kg/mm<2> placed in the reaction zone of said plasma polymerization with the electron temperature for the plasma controlled between 6,000 and 40,000 deg.K.
