PURPOSE:To bring a film into contact with an intensifying screen by fitting a packing material and a gasket to open ends of a top and a bottom lid so that the film projecting from the intensifying screen stuck on the top lid is not bent when a holder is closed. CONSTITUTION:The film holder 10 consists of the top lid 11, the bottom lid 12, and a hinge 13. The top lid 11 has cuts 19a and 19b and the projection part of the film 25 is clamped by unshown rollers to carry the film 25 in and out of the holder 10. Intensifying screens 14a and 14b are stuck on the inside of the top lid 11 and bottom lid 12 and the packing material 15 and gasket 16 are fitted to the open end parts. An air discharge pipe 18 which communicates with a vacuum pump (not shown in figure) is provided to part of the bottom lid 12. The film projecting from the holder 10 holds itself plane without being bent and a gap becomes hard to generate, so that a vacuum suction time is shortened. Consequently, the film contacts the intensifying screens speedily to make a diagnosis accurate and shorten its diagnostic time.
