PURPOSE:To improve the operability by providing the second means which converts displacement information of a detected position to that of a position larger than said displacement information by a prescribed proportion. CONSTITUTION:A position indicating device body 1 consists of a position displacement detecting part 2, a control 3, a processing part 4, and a data transmitting part 5 and is connected to an external device like a personal computer from the transmitting part 5 through a communication line 6. Information of position displacement detected by the detecting part 2 is inputted to the processing part 4, and information is converted to information corresponding to position displacement if a control button 3 is not depressed, and information is converted to information of position displacement larger than information of detected position displacement if the button 3 is not depressed, and converted information is sent to the data transmitting part 5. Thus, the processing part 4 converts always information of position displacement inputted from the detecting part 2 to information of position displacement larger than said information by a certain proportion when the control button 3 is depressed.
