PURPOSE:To obtain an individual small occupied area of a common electrode to the area of substrate and not to generate the irregularity of density due to the decrease of voltaged, by a method wherein a portion, at least, of common electrode is made to exist under the heating resistor element and under the selective electrode. CONSTITUTION:The insulating layer 2 which becomes the heat storage layer by a glaze layer is provided on a conductive substrate 10 except an edge part 11. A patternized heating resistor layer 6 is formed thereon except the edge part 11 and a selective electrode 4 is formed on the patternized heating resistor layer 6. Further, each heating resistor element 3, is brought in contact with the substrate 10 at the edge part 11 and the top surface thereof is covered with a protective layer 7. This electrode layer 12 and the substrate 10 become the common electrode, for the individual occupied area of which only the area of the electrode layer 12 connecting elements to the substrate 10 will do, and the area can be miniaturized. Further, because the substrate 10 has an enough thickness and an enough area, the voltage drop to the heating resistor element 3 is hardly generated and the irregularity of printing density does not occur. |
