PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet alloy having remarkably large coercive force and effective especially in use where thermally stable magnetic characteristics are required by blending Co with specified amounts of one or more kinds of rare earth elements, Fe, Cu and Ti. CONSTITUTION:The composition of alloy powder is composed of, by weight, 22-28% R (R is one or more kinds of rare earth elements such as Sm and Ce), 12-25% Fe, 1-4.9% Cu, 3.1-5% Ti and the balance Co with inevitable impurities. The alloy powder is pressed in a magnetic field and sintered in gaseous H2. The sintered body is subjected to soln. heat treatment by holding at 1,070-1,220 deg.C in gaseous Ar for about 20hr and quenching to room temp. to manufacture a permanent magnet. |
