PURPOSE:To perform development with a proper developing bias voltage corresponding to the kind of toner without any error by providing a developing device with a connector which couples with the connector of a recording device side to connect an input terminal connected to a developing sleeve to one specific output terminal. CONSTITUTION:The connector 3 of the recording device body 1 has plural output terminals V1-V6, which are connected to a developing bias power circuit provided to a control part 5 to which the connector 3 is fitted. On the other hand, holes H1-H6 in which the input terminal 6 is fitted are formed in the connector part 4 of the developing device 2 at positions corresponding to the output terminals V1-V6 of the connector and the input terminal 6 connected to the developing sleeve 7 through a cord 8 is inserted and fitted in the hole H4 according to the kind, i.e. color of toner put in the developing device 2. When development is carried out, a proper developing bias voltage is applied to the developing sleeve 7 from the developing power circuit according to the color of the toner. |
