PURPOSE:To improve the temperature characteristics of a dividing circuit and at the same time to secure the working stability of the dividing circuit despite the variation of the power supply voltage, by using a diode to a circuit which biases a dividing diode and making use of both the temperature characteristics and the clamp characteristics of the diode. CONSTITUTION:A diode is used to a circuit which biases a dividing diode 4 in order to secure the working stability to the temperature change of the diode 4 as well as the variation of the power supply voltage. For such a circuit, for example, as shown in a diagram, a dividing action is carried out when the diode 4 is biased in the forward direction. While the forward characteristics of the diode 4 are changed by temperatures, and the temperature characteristics can be compensated by reducing and increasing the bias voltage of the diode 4 when the temperature drops and rises respectively. Thus the anode voltage of the diode 4 is changed by means of the temperature characteristics of the diode 14 to attain the temperature compensation.
