PURPOSE:To obtain an image with which the eyes of a person to be photographed are coincident by displaying the received picture via an optical synthesizer like a half mirror, etc., putting the display surface of the received picture on the photographing surface of a video camera and photographing the eyes the person to be photographed that viewed those received pictures. CONSTITUTION:The light given from a lower CRT 2 is reflected and sent to a right person 4 to be photographed by a half mirror 5 serving as an optical synthesizer. While the light given from the person 4 is transmitted and sent to a video camera 1 at the left side. Thus the person 4 can see the received pictures displayed on a CRT 2 and reflected on the mirror 5 and therefore the camera 1 can photograph the eyes of the person 4 looking at the received pictures through the mirror 5. Thus an image of the person 4 seeing the camera 1 is projected at the remote side. This can eliminate an unnatural image of the person 4 looking at the upper or lower side. A prism is also available as an optical synthesizer in addition to the mirror 5. Furthermore it is possible to transmit the received pictures through the mirror 5 and to reflect the photographed pictures transmitted.
