<p>PURPOSE:To enable high sensitivity recording and to make it possible to use an inexpensive color sheet having no slidable heat resistant layer, in a thermal head, by providing a slidable heat resistance layer on a heat generating element equipped with a heat generating resistor and an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant insulating substrate 1 consists of a heat dissipating substrate 1a comprising alumina and a heat insulating layer 2 such as a glaze layer and a heat generating resistor 3 has an electrode 4 comprising Cr-An formed thereto so that a part thereof comes to a heat generating element 3a. A slidable heat resistant layer 5 is formed so as to cover the heat generating element 3a and the electrode 4. Because the slidable heat resistant layer 5 is formed of a polymer composition, the part directly above the heat generating element 3a does not come to a recessed part but forms a flat surface. By this constitution, even a color sheet having no slidable heat resistant layer can be stably run on a thermal head by the action of the slidable heat resistant layer on the surface of the thermal head.</p> |
