PURPOSE:To decrease the crosstalk given from an FM modulation circuit in a period excluding the inserted recording period, by dropping the output of the FM modulation circuit for record of address data to the earth in the periods excepting a signal recording period for address data, etc. CONSTITUTION:The output of a buffer 28 is switched by a transistor TR61 and a recording current flows only in a high period of a gate pulse 6. This current is amplified by TR62 and 63 and flowed to a head 11 of a VTR, and the current flows in an amount just enough to be recorded on a VTR tape. Then the current is switched by a TR64 with the gate pulse, and an output terminal 8 is short-circuited to GND while the gate pulse is kept at low level. Then the VTR reproduction output is extracted to a reproduction amplifier circuit 50 through the head 11. The pulse 6 is set at a low level in an inserted recording mode of the address data. Thus switching circuits 1 and 30 are turned off and the signals equivalent to the address data are supplied to the head 11 from a recording driver 29. Then the address data is recorded on the VTR tape.
