PURPOSE:To increase a copying speed while the processing speed of image formation is held constant by displaying an original setting direction on a display part when pages are copied continuously in parallel conveyance both- surface copying operation. CONSTITUTION:A 'parallel conveyance ready' display illuminates in an operation part only when sheets of transfer paper of copy sizes A4 and B5 are set on the 1st paper feeding device 33 lengthwise in a paper feed direction and transfer paper of the same size is set at the simple cassette side in the 2nd paper feeding device 34 in the same direction with the 1st paper feeding device 33. Namely, paper presence/absence detectors 1 and 2 in the 1st paper feeding device turn on (paper presence) and a size detector outputs A5 (or B5). Then, the 'parallel conveyance ready' display illuminates only when a paper presence/ absence detector 1 in the 2nd paper feeding device turns off (paper absence), a paper presence/ absence detector 2 turns on (paper presence), and a size detector outputs A3 (or B4). |
