MECHANICAL DEVICE FOR BENDING REINFORCING BAR

PURPOSE:To prevent seizure of bending dies by introducing air in the mating holes of the device for bending reinforcing bar to engage bosses so that iron powder is not brought into the holes when dies are taken in and out. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing bar bender equipped with a freely replaceable bending die with bosses is provided with an air ejector pipe 50a mounted at the tip of the key 35 aimed at the hammer 40 and a similar air ejector pipe 50b at the top in the mating hole 30 which face each other. When the bending die 3 goes in and out of the mating hole 30, compressed air is ejected from air ejector pipes 50a and 50b into the mating hole 30, preventing iron powder coming in the mating hole 30.
